Cannon Gun Safes - A Sound Investment Or a Waste of Money?

!±8± Cannon Gun Safes - A Sound Investment Or a Waste of Money?

How do the Cannon Gun Safes compare with the other popular brands out there? No doubt, Cannon is one of the most known safe companies on the market, but that of course doesn't mean they sell the best quality. How do they really stack up?

First of all, they come available in all different price points, and it depends entirely on which model you get. They sell a number of different safe models, and the first to be reviewed is the traditional safe series.

With this Cannon Gun Safe, you get a huge two and a quarter inch steel door, certainly big enough to protect any of your valuables. It has an electronic lock, and the body of it is made with a unibody build, with a rounded edge.

The body also has a drilled bottom so that you can attach or bolt it to the floor, very important for preventing criminals from walking off with it. It comes equipped with lights on the inside to enable you to see everything clearly if the area around you is dark.

Even if it's not dark, sometimes it's hard to see in areas of the safe without lights, and that's what the lighting system is for. Possible extras you can get with this safe is a humidifier to keep the items in good condition.

The inside of the Cannon Gun Safe is much nicer looking than many safes, as it is built with oak, and many think this makes it one of the nicer looking ones around. Of course, looks are certainly secondary to security , but don't completely disregard them.

As far as protecting your items from a fire, it is certified to do so for an hour and a half in a twelve hundred degree fire, so this is more than enough to keep it protected in most instances.

This assumes that you don't live very far from the fire station, of course. Even if you do, they often times can keep your things protected. Fire safety and security are the most important things you should look for in any safe, and this one is effective at both.

The next of the Cannon Gun Safes to be reviewed is simply named the Cannon Safe Series. This one comes equipped with a one and a half inch thick door, which is slightly less thick than the traditional model described above.

The locking bolts are one inch thick, again slightly less thick then the previous model, but like the other one, comes with an electronic locking system. The fire safety ratings for this model are comparable with the previously reviewed one.

The truth is, Cannon Gun Safes rank right up there with the best safe companies on the market, and are definitely recommended.
